Couldn't tell how long it would last
Wished she could consult Mr. Fate
But he always seemed to come late
She had no reason to remember tomorrow
Coz her life was full of sorrow
Life had stopped being Kind
To her gentle Mind
She could feel the Thorn
That her Love Adorn....
I wrote it after hearing a lady friend telling me how she had been heart-broken by her Ex-boyfriend...She was in pain
